Share | |

Who?

Birmingham’s Inspired Thinking Group (ITG).

Did what?

Bought Total Marketing Service (TMS) after a £3.2m investment from ISIS Equity Partners.

What does this mean?

ITG provides services that help marketing departments operate more efficiently. This includes outsourced print management services to major retailers and branded businesses including M&S, Punch Taverns and KFC.

Who advised?

Midlands professionals from Catalyst Corporate Finance, DLA Piper, Browne Jacobson, Eversheds, BDO, CIL and Intuitus all advised on the deal.

Insider comment:

Simon Ward, chief executive of ITG and former commercial CEO of St Ives, formed the business in 2009 following his acquisition and integration of three independent Birmingham-based marketing businesses, indicating he knows a few things about making deals work.

He said: “ITG is a dynamic, ambitious business that is pushing back the boundaries of traditional marketing. To do this we need an agile business culture and ISIS has supported this culture superbly. Together, we will grow ITG into a market leader.”

ITG identified TMS as an acquisition target after using its MediaCentre software, which it now intends to integrate into a full-service solution, on behalf of its existing clients.
