Bass up for sale?
Cask ale brand Bass, which is brewed at the Burton-upon-Trent headquarters of Marston’s, is up for sale according to The Times. AB InBev, the Belgian brewer, is reportedly looking for a buyer for the ale which has “suffered from a lack of marketing investment” since being brewed under the Marstons name. According to reports, AB InBev, who has so far not commented on the rumours, is looking for a sale price of around £10m.
