Derby sitting pretty on vacancy rates

Share | |

Fisher Hargreaves Proctor (FHP) has launched the latest Derby Retail Study, which reveals that vacancy rates are now falling following the recession and stand at 11.97 per cent. This is a reduction of 1.68 per cent on last year and is lower than both the Midlands and national averages. The report states that the shopping centres continue to outperform the high street. Westfield Derby now attracts 25 million shoppers per year, making it busier than both Highcross in Leicester and Nottingham’s Victoria Centre. New signings at Westfield include Duck and Cover, Lee Longlands, Select and Ditsch.
