Derby City Council chief executive Adam Wilkinson has outlined the next stage of Derby’s regeneration, saying that the city was a “giant waking up”. Wilkinson committed the city to spending £380m over the next three years to kick-start the next phase of development in a speech at the Derby Property and Business Investment Show at Pride Park. A new film on the 1m sq ft of office developments ready with planning permission was previewed for the first time in the UK and director John Forkin said the city was about to step up its attempt to attract the occupiers needed to get schemes out of the ground.
