Shakespeare and Needham in merger talks
Birmingham law firms Shakespeare Putsman and Needham & James are understood to be in merger talks. Between them the firms employ nearly 400 people and a merger would result in the formation of one of the city’s largest legal practices. The merger plan has yet to be confirmed by either firm, but the talks have become something of an open secret in the Birmingham professional sector in recent days.
