GPSLocals in billion pound investment offer
Just 17 days after Birmingham’s Paul Manning launched GPSLocals.com, he has revealed a consortium of Russian businessmen have offered a billion pound investment for further developing his interoperable database. This database technology lets companies and organisations list their business on the GPSLocals.com search engine so they can be found on GPS systems around the world. Manning says the details of the investment offer are still being ironed out, but at this point, the offer is a guaranteed £200m a year over the next five years. “The investment would allow GPSLocals.com to complete the global site in every language very quickly,” he said.
