London bank buys Loughborough student halls
Gatehouse Bank, a wholesale Shariah-compliant investment bank in London, has bought Optima, a 61-studio bedroom student residence in Loughborough. Watkin Jones Group, the Bangor-based building company, also sold the Europa building in Liverpool to the bank. The two halls of residence, which include a total of 653 bedrooms over approximately 184,000 sq ft, were sold for £29.2m.
