KG Smith extends timber business
Brigstock fencing company C N Spencer as been acquired by Hartwell’s K G Smith & Son in a deal that seals the expansion of the acquiring group’s timber business. This all-Northamptonshire deal was backed with funding from NatWest. KG Smith & Son says all of the existing C N Spencer staff will keep their jobs and will be joined by extra staff in the near future. The KG Smith & Son group today includes a building aggregate and home improvement material supplier, a nationwide timber distribution service, two sawmills, a nationwide cast-iron stove supplier, a national beverage gas supplier, a liquefied petroleum gas supplier and a coal and gas supplier.
