Talbots seals Tanfields takeover

Share | |

Who?
Talbots Solicitors, based in Stourbridge and Kidderminster.

Did what?
Has bought Dudley rival Tanfields Solicitors.

What does this mean?
Funding for the six-figure acquisition was provided by Santander Corporate Banking and managed by the bank’s West Midlands corporate banking team. Mary Mocklow, practice director at Talbots, said: “Having recently acquired the firm of Dunham Brindley and Linn, based in Dudley, Wolverhampton and Codsall, the acquisition of Tanfields was a natural progression for Talbots to reinforce its presence in Dudley.”

Insider comment:
Talbot Solicitors, which was founded in 1828, acquired Dunham Brindley & Linn in May 2009. The firm hopes the recent acquisition will allow it to add new services, such as immigration law, and extend the legal aid arm of Talbots Legal Advice centre.
