Southside regeneration already underway, say Akins
Sean Akins, the director of Bildurn Properties, has told Insider that he thinks the Southside regeneration area is already underway. “Southside is already happening,” he said, “and it’s almost happening by accident. You have space in Waterfront House, Southreef and Loxley House down there, and this has all really happened by accident – there’s been no great plan.” Akins added that he hopes to put Bildurn’s planning application for the office-led area in to the city council by the end of the year, but wouldn’t be drawn on a start date. “It’s not something we’re going to rush into,” he said. “We know there is indigenous demand in Nottingham, but for a company to make a big move takes a lot of planning, and we understand that.”
