Game on for PwC in £45m deal
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Birmingham office has advised a Loughborough gaming company on its £45m sale to an industry rival. Beacon Entertainment, an adult gaming centre and bingo operator, has been bought by AIM-listed Praesepe, a smaller gaming sector company based in Milton Keynes. Victoria Marcer, an assistant director at PwC in Birmingham who was lead adviser on the deal, said: “This sale gives Beacon a new lease of life as part of a dynamic AIM-listed business.” Beacon has been in the de facto ownership of a consortium of banks led by Royal Bank of Scotland for the last 18 months following a debt for equity swap.
