Fast-track deal for Drivers Dream Days

Has taken over Leicestershire’s Everyman Racing for an undisclosed sum.

What does this mean:
Both firms offer high-speed track day experiences. Drivers Dream Days was one of the largest independent providers of track day experiences even before this deal. The combined business will operate mainly from the Prestwold Hall track near Loughborough and will provide a full range of experiences including a variety of exotic super cars such as Aston Martins, Ferraris and Lamborghinis. The deal was completed in just seven weeks.

Who advised:
Worcester accountancy and tax firm Rabjohns and Bromsgrove law firm Thomas Horton advised on the acquisition.

Insider comment:
As of its latest accounts, for the year to 31 October 2008, Drivers Dream Days had tangible assets of £1.58m.

Darren Edmonds, managing director of the enlarged Drivers Dream Days business, said: "We set a challenging acquisition timetable and we now have exclusive use of our own track facility that will allow us greater control over our operation."
