Urban Splash makes huge loss
Urban Splash, the developer behind the successful Fort Dunlop and Rotunda redevelopments in Birmingham, made a loss of £38.3m in the year ending 31 March 2009, according to its annual report. Over the same period, turnover dropped by a third to £49.9m. Chairman Tom Bloxham MBE said: “This has been the hardest year in my business life. At times, we were battling for our very survival, but I firmly believe Urban Splash was a great company, and still is a great company, working in a very hard environment.”
