Derby prepares for relocations
Marketing Derby set out its stall for the year ahead at its latest Derby Embassy event at the House of Commons yesterday. Speaking to Insider, director John Forkin said: “We’re here to get Derby on the radius for government and private-sector office relocations. We need to change perceptions about the city. We’ve got so much confidence in Derby and we’ve got 1 million sq ft of office space ready to go - we just need to be ready for the pace of relocation acceleration that will surely come later in the year, whichever party wins the next election.” Approximately 80 people attended the event at the Terrace Marquee to hear about Derby’s office market. Bert Piljs, UK head of Citibank, was among the speakers.
