Carillion appointed to Managed Motorways framework
Carillion has been appointed as one of four framework contractors to deliver the first phase of the Highways Agency’s £2bn Managed Motorways programme. The scheme will include the installation of variable speed limits and hard shoulder running. Carillion won the contract for Phases one and two of the £96m Birmingham Box Managed Motorways project in 2008, which is due to be completed in 2011.
