Lloyds TSB chooses furniture
Nottinghamshire’s JDP Furniture Group has secured a £2m deal with Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets to provide the business with future finance. Based in Long Eaton, the £50m turnover business manufactures and imports high-quality traditional and contemporary cabinet and upholstered furniture for retailers across the country, including high-street names such as Laura Ashley, John Lewis and BHS. JDP employs more than 600 people locally. John Clay, Nottingham-based relationship director for Lloyds Banking Group, said: “JDP is a key employer for Nottingham and has a reputation for producing some of the country’s most finely crafted furniture.”
