Prologis shifts huge Midlands sheds
In what can be taken as further evidence that the industrial and distribution market is starting to move after a period of inertia, big shed developer Prologis is understood to have let, or nearly let, 632,000 sq ft of space in the Midlands. Its surge of activity in this region is based on deals in Kettering and Stafford. In Kettering, Oxford University Press, previously based in Corby, has taken 402,000 sq ft at Prologis Park. In Stafford, fashion retailer Gap is in talks about taking over a 230,000 sq ft building on a Prologis scheme also called Prologis Park. BNP Paribas Real Estate and King Sturge acted for Prologis in Stafford, while Budworth Brown and Burbage Realty acted for the developer at Kettering. Arcadia Group and Next are reportedly among occupiers seeking large amounts of space in the Midlands according to property industry magazines.
