Spotlight on Southside at MIPIM
Nottingham’s new business district, Southside, will be thrust into the spotlight at the world’s biggest property investment show, MIPIM, in Cannes next month. Director of workplace strategy and property for Nottingham City Council, Geoffrey Hibbert, said: “The Southside district is already connecting businesses with clients and a new workforce with the vibrant heart of the City, and the potential to build on that success is key to the MIPIM message.” Mixed-use schemes in the new Southside commercial area include Wilson Bowden’s Sentinel, a 100,000 sq ft office scheme on the district’s southern edge. Peel Holdings’ Unity Square development will see 200,000 sq ft of Grade A offices, a hotel and retail/leisure space being built opposite The Hub, the redeveloped train station and new NET Tram interchange.
