RICS fears for Midlands housing market
The end of the stamp duty holiday could have a detrimental effect on the recovery of the housing market in regions that are already lagging behind, according to the latest research from Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). A majority of surveyors in the West and East Midlands believe that they will see a drop in activity in 2010 following the end of the stamp duty holiday for properties priced between £125,000 and £175,000 at the end of this year.
