Polestar Foods sweet for Heinz
Polestar has bought the manufacturing sites based in Okehampton and Leamington Spa, as well as the American Dream and Devonshire desserts brands, for an undisclosed sum. The deal also includes a co-pack agreemen: Polestar will produce Weight Watchers from Heinz and Heinz and Ross branded frozen desserts, as well as Alveston Kitchens products under licence. All 580 employees at the two sites will transfer to Polestar following a consultation. Leumi ABL and parent bank Bank Leumi (UK) provided acquisition and working capital facilities to Polestar.
