Oakhill to drive former car dealership site
Insider understands that Manchester-based consultancy RPS has written to Nottingham City Council with plans to transform the former Hartwell Ford dealership site on London Road. RPS has written on behalf of the Oakhill Group, a subsidiary of property company Ridge, which has offices in Leicester and Birmingham, to request a screening opinion for a mixed-use development of offices and a restaurant/bar. Oakhill currently owns the 1.5-hectare site, which is being used by Castle College as an education and training centre. RPS said any development would provide around 177,606 sq ft of office space with 150 car-parking spaces. The proposals are seen by RPS and Oakhill as the first phase of the wider development of the Eastcroft area.
