Urban Living helps to turn Cygnet into a swan
Midlands-based housing-market renewal agency Urban Living has secured the future of an unfinished Black Country housing scheme after rescuing it in a £3m deal. Thanks to the intervention of the government-funded "pathfinder" working with partners, the near-finished Cygnet Court in Smethwick is set to be transformed into a stylish development of affordable new homes. Urban Living has worked closely with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Birmingham solicitors Shoosmiths, property consultants Lambert Smith Hampton and housing association Midland Heart. Work is underway at the Oldbury Road site and is scheduled to be completed in December, with new homes now being marketed to potential buyers by First Step.
