Yorkshire boosts Midlands borrowing
Yorkshire Bank has announced that up to £1bn of new money will be ring-fenced for Midlands business customers as part of a two-year, £10bn lending commitment to UK businesses and retail customers. Brian Colquhoun, regional director for Yorkshire Bank in the Midlands, said: "This further lending pledge is a clear display of our support for Midlands customers. Yorkshire Bank has continued to support businesses and homeowners over the past 12 months and remained open for business in a period that saw lenders heavily criticised for restrictive changes to their lending criteria."
