David Hunt, digital director at Manchester design and advertising agency Creative Lynx, was crowned Young Professional of the Year at Insider's North West Young Professionals Awards 2009 at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester.
Earlier in the evening Hunt, 28, had been named Young Marketing & Media Professional at the event, organed by Insider in association with Pro.Manchester.
Also shortlisted for the overall award were Jon Lovell of Drivers Jonas, Stuart Stead of Cowgill Holloway, Jordan Foster of KPMG and Halliwells' James Pochin. The award was sponsored by Manchester Metropolitan University.
Hunt told Insider: "Manchester has an amazing digital industry. It's more difficult to win a digital project in Manchester than London because the city is an absolute hotbed of talent - and recognition for that is a good thing."
Nearly 300 people attended the awards dinner, which raised funds for the New Children's Hospital Appeal.
