While there is a great deal of focus on the emerging markets, the United States of America is still the largest and most technologically advanced economy in the world.
The UK has been fortunate enough to benefit from a close transatlantic relationship over the years and it’s no surprise that the US is our single largest export market.
The familiar culture, skilled workforce and strong transport connections all make trading with the US an attractive proposition.
But it is not always a simple and straightforward task. There are four time zones across 50 states, and vast cultural differences mean it should often be treated as a series of regional markets with varying characteristics.
As part of our successful international breakfast series Insider will turn its attention to this huge market and examine the opportunities and challenges for your business.
