Insider Property Awards North West 2007
The Insider Property Awards North West 2007 was the place to be as the top performers in the region’s property sector were honoured for their achievements at Manchester Central.
The Awards were attended by 800 guests from the property sector who not only witnessed the elite performers in their field receive accolades in areas such as property law and regeneration, but also played their part in choosing the winners of two awards, thanks to live interactive voting.
The guests selected Brendan Flood from Modus Properties as the recipient of the Property Personality of the Year award, sponsored by Lambert Smith Hampton. One of Flood’s successes is the Grand Arcade in Wigan and he has numerous mixed-use schemes underway across the UK. Bruntwood was voted the winner of the Property Deal of the Year award, sponsored by DWF. Bruntwood secured Manchester’s largest letting of 2006: 120,000 sq ft to Network Rail at SquareOne.
It was the first time that the People’s Property Award, in collaboration with the BBC, had featured at the Insider Property Awards North West and it created quite a stir, as two buildings were neck and neck all the way up to the voting cut-off point. Over 30,000 BBC viewers and listeners voted on the BBC website and ultimately the new parade ring and grandstand at Aintree emerged as the best-loved building in the North West.
