Professionals from the East Midlands proved more than a match for their Western counterparts by taking the two top awards at Midlands Dealmakers.
Deloitte’s David Jones walked away with the Dealmaker of the Year title and Dimensions Corporatewear received the Deal of the Year trophy.
This was the most popular Dealmakers yet – and by general consensus the most enjoyable thanks to compere Gyles Brandreth - with a capacity audience of more than 850 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, and more than 650 nominations coming from the region’s corporate finance leaders.
The evening also saw the introduction of an important new category, Deal of the Year Below £10m, which was won by Funeral Service Partnership. The category was brought in to reflect the importance that niche transactions play in the Midlands dealmaking community.
