Leading members of the region's corporate finance community will meet on Thursday 26th May 2011 for Insider's latest North East Dealmakers breakfast which has been kindly sponsored by Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets, Eversheds and Lockton Insurance.
Now in it's seventh year this event has become a regular fixture on the North East’s corporate finance calendar bringing together some of the leading business figures from across the region. The event will be covered in the annual North East Dealmakers Guide and the North East daily email.
Our breakfasts are both an excellent networking opportunity and a chance to hear the thoughts of a leading business figure in the region, and for this event we are delighted that we will be joined by Ken McMeikan, chief executive of Greggs and regional chairman of the CBI.
Ken became Chief Executive of Greggs, the UK’s leading bakery retailer, in 2008. Whilst steering the company successfully through the recession, continuing to grow sales and deliver record profits in 2010, Ken has also set out ambitious expansion plans to open more shops, and create further jobs across the UK.
Ken is also Chairman of the North East CBI, he is passionate about the North East economy, particularly in attracting investment to the area, encouraging business growth and fostering new entrepreneurs.
