Insider is delighted to be hosting an exclusive panel and audience debate that brings together senior figures from the public and private sectors to discuss Swindon’s economy, its redevelopment and future prospects.
The town is the focus for plenty of activity at the moment. Recently the plans for the regeneration of the Union Square site were unveiled by Muse Developments, and other development sites – and potential sites – are also moving forward, like the recently green-lighted proposal to develop an office block on Fleming Way.
This important event will give a platform to some of the area’s key players for what promises to be a wide-ranging debate that takes stock of the town’s built environment, economy and business landscape.
Other issues sure to get an airing include how Forward Swindon’s plans are evolving since the departure of Karen Walker as chief executive and Ian Piper taking over on an interim basis. Swindon’s transport prospects are also likely to come up, including the prospects for the electricification of the Great Western Main Line through Swindon and the recent proposal to by TransWilts Rail for a regular rail service between Salisbury and Swindon.
Insider’s forum is an opportunity for the business community in the area to listen and to question those with a stake in Swindon’s development as it unfolds.
