Insider, the leading business magazine in the South West, is delighted to be hosting an exclusive panel event that brings together business leaders and finance specialists to talk about business funding from all sides.
The event will fall into two halves. The first session will see a panel of experts talking about – and taking questions on – the funding options available to businesses in 2011. For many businesses, it’s a particularly important moment to address this issue, because many companies refinanced their debt on five-year terms three or four years ago, and now is the time for them and others to consider their options. What are the arguments for acting now versus holding off?
Other financing options will also be explored, from asset based lending to private equity.
The second part of the session will see Simon Chamberlain, the serial entrepreneur who was a founding partner of what is now St James’s Place Capital, interviewed by Insider editor Christian Annesley about funding and growing a business through the economic cycle. Chamberlain these days runs the financial services consolidator Succession Advisory Services and has raised finance to create value in businesses since the mid-1990s, including being a founding partner of what is now St James’s Place Capital.
