The challenges for the social housing sector are massive. Reductions in public funding mean housing associations and residential social landlords (RSLs) are having to become more commercially driven and attract new funding without losing sight of their primary duty of care to their residents.

In this conference, Insider will explore how the sector can continue to deliver excellence and adapt to the changing environment. Also, Housing Associations are increasingly delivering many of the social objectives of the big society through community initiatives.

The event will feature presentations from chief executives of successful social housing providers, funders and local authorities.

Themes:
  • Social housing and the Big Society - How RSLs deliver Big Society objectives in community engagement
  • Environment - Delivering the Green Deal - examples of successful campaigns and local strategies
  • Funding for development/refurbishment - What business models and funding streams are available to the sector?
