A guide to QR codes
What are QR codes? QR codes are 2D barcodes that when scanned can direct the user to a web page or to compose an email or text message.
Insider will now be incorporating QR codes into our magazines to allow readers to quickly access relevant information, special features and extras on the go via their smartphones.
How to: Start Using QR Codes
Follow these three simple steps below to start using QR codes on your smartphone today.
Step 1
Download a QR code reader app onto your smartphone (there are lots of free ones available) by accessing the App Store (Apple iPhone), Android Market, or the equivalent, and searching for the term "QR Reader".
Step 2
Open up the QR code reader on your phone and choosing the camera option scan the QR code.
Step 3
Each code will direct your mobile browser to relevant content. No more typing, sending or searching, just immediate access to exciting new content.
