Insider 2.0 — Retail technology and marketing

To coincide with our retail sector report in the October issue, our regular technology, media and telecoms section will focus on the services behind this huge industry.

Technology plays a significant part in the way we purchase goods. It empowers the consumer and retailer, making transactions more efficient and cost effective. In this review we shall look at how technology is being applied in the retail sector and how it can help North West businesses. In addition, we will highlight some of the region’s technology companies that are developing products for the sector.

Retail marketing is also an area that is changing fast. And part of this report will explore how businesses are targeting consumers, but striking that all important balance between intrusion and information.
