Commercial property – Grade A offices review

With the economy officially on the way back, are the North West’s office agents dusting off the marketing brochures for a renewed push on the premium spaces in our city centres?

There is a respectable amount of stock out there; space that arrived on the market in 2009 and for one reason or another hasn’t fully let yet. It could be a large scheme with just a floor or so to shift; it could be ambitious, top-priced kit that found itself priced out of the market; it could be a relatively recent completion – the buildings are out there.

And if deals start to pick up, the very real issues of supply and demand will come rushing to the fore – what’s the thinking on current demand and is the supply side likely to improve any time soon?

In this feature we’ll be looking at who the winners and losers have been so far in the race to snap up what’s been a fairly narrow band of occupiers. We’ll also be looking at the next crop of deals – which sectors will be providing the big movers of 2010 and 2011?
