National vs Regional PR

Once you have decided you need to hire a public relations company to get your company’s message out there and to build profile you come to the thorny problem of selecting the right agency to represent you.

Often this is done by way of ‘beauty parade’ in which PR firms make their pitch to you and your choice may be based on who made the best presentation as well as factors such as cost and sector expertise. But there is another issue which may be considered and that is whether you should employ a local PR agency, which knows the patch and the people in it better, or a national agency, which can potentially broaden your reach.
